Scented candles are a wonderful

Scented candles are a wonderful addition to just about every home. I enjoy the many wonderful and varied scents they can add to your house. They make your house smell so inviting and wonderful. It helps easy my mood when I'm having a particularly bad day. Being a mom of two young boys you can imagine how great it is to be able to escape into a wonderful bliss of sweet smelling rain. I love to burn candles at the end of the day just to take the edge off. Cinnamon scented candles come in real handy in the Christmas season. I love to bake cookies and have a candle burning. It makes visitors want to kick off their shoes and stay for a while. I also enjoy burning the pumpkin scented candles during the Thanksgiving holidays. It is great to be able to rotate your candles according to the season, it just puts everyone in such a good mood. I know of a local candle maker that makes these great smelling candles. He uses the right amount of scented oil and he can mix just about any scent you want. I think the most popular he makes is a...

Glade Scented Oils!

I found my favorite candles almost three years ago on a whim. My husband and I had gotten a coupon in the mail to try out Glade's scented oil candles. Since we both were smokers at the time and had pets we figured we'd give it a try. We took our $3.00 off coupon to the drug store and purchased a trio pack of Dewberry scent. We fell in love instantly. We learned later that they offered numerous other scents and loved them all. They burned for a minimum of three hours and the frangrance lasted at least six. They are nice because for the price the candle burns down to its interity. There is no messy wax as it burns up. And you are left with a metal wick that has a magnet to the glass holder. We were seeking more scents, not knowing that our favorite Apple Cinnamon was a holiday scent, so we contacted Glade only to get a package of $10 worth of coupons to test out some other scents. To our advice they have kept Apple Cinnamon as a yearly scent, no longer seasonal. Because the scented oils require a glass holder they can be...

Candle Scentsations

I have enjoyed burning scented candles for many years now. I have quite a few favorite candle scents. However,my favorites do change according to my moods and they also change along with the different seasons of the year. When I find that I am in the mood to relax, I like to burn lavender, which seems to have a calming effect on me.I find that eucalyptus scented candles, along with fruity scents such as lemon, orange, mango, strawberry and peach tend give me an energizing lift. I prefer the fruity scented candles most during the spring and summer months of the year. Now for the autumn and winter months I like to burn caramel apple, hazelnut, and a variety of apple scented candles, such as apple spice, apple berry, and apple pie. I even have favorite scents that I enjoy using during the holidays- I burn pumpkin pie scented candles at Thanksgiving and Christmastime will usually find the aromas of cranberry, bayberry and pine wafting through my home. I burn a lot of vanilla scented candles during the holidays as well. The best candles I have ever used are made by a woman in Columbia,South Carolina. She has a small candle company called Creations and Sinsations. The main...

Scented Inspiration

Scented Inspiration I love sweet-smelling candles, like vanilla or strawberry, candles that smell so good you're tempted to eat them. My mother bought me a chocolate scented candle at Christmas, it smells so good that I keep it on my bedside table and sniff it whenever I go into the bedroom. I haven't lit it yet, I'm just enjoying the fragrance it gives out. My favourite candles tend to be quite chunky-looking, with a good colour, something that looks as good as it smells. The prettiest candle I ever had was pale pink, with a frosted effect running through it. I also like votives/tea-lights with great fragrances. The Yankee Candle Co seems like a good range. My children love picking them all up in the store and trying all the different scents. I also like floral fragrances such as Rose, Gardenia or Lavender, the kinds of scents that make me feel as if I'm standing in a beautiful garden in the height of summer. Just smelling them is enough to transport me there, even in the depths of Winter. In my bedroom I always have a special candle on the dresser that I pick out especially - it has to...
