Scented candles are a wonderful addition to just about every home. I enjoy the many wonderful and varied scents they can add to your house. They make your house smell so inviting and wonderful. It helps easy my mood when I'm having a particularly bad day. Being a mom of two young boys you can imagine how great it is to be able to escape into a wonderful bliss of sweet smelling rain. I love to burn candles at the end of the day just to take the edge off. Cinnamon scented candles come in real handy in the Christmas season. I love to bake cookies and have a candle burning. It makes visitors want to kick off their shoes and stay for a while. I also enjoy burning the pumpkin scented candles during the Thanksgiving holidays. I found my favorite candles almost three years ago on a whim. My husband and I had gotten a coupon in the mail to try out Glade's scented oil candles. Since we both were smokers at the time and had pets we figured we'd give it a try. We took our $3.00 off coupon to the drug store and purchased a trio pack of Dewberry scent. We fell in love instantly. We learned later that they offered numerous other scents and loved them all. They burned for a minimum of three hours and the frangrance lasted at least six. They are nice because for the price the candle burns down to its interity. There is no messy wax as it burns up. And you are left with a metal wick that has a magnet to the glass holder. We were seeking more scents, not knowing that our favorite Apple Cinnamon was a holiday scent, so we contacted Glade only to get a package of $10 worth of coupons to test out some other scents. Candles can change your attitude I have many different brands of candles that I burn in my home. The best scents are the ones that can change your attitude. I like to use the Yankee Candles they seem to have the best aroma. The candles from Candle Lite are also very aromatic. The Home and garden candles are less expensive and also look nice and are not that strong. I feel the way the candles smells is the most important thing about them. If they look nice it is also a plus.The best scent to me are the baby power, linen and and clean cotton. These aromas give a clean fresh scent and make you feel happy. I do prefer the larger three wick candles, because they last for a long time. I burn candles every day when I get home to make the house smell nice and fresh. I also have burned candles that are spicy and bold these candles change your attitude they seen to give you a liitle boost of energy. Candles bring many memories to mind for me. My mother was a scent fanatic, and there was always something pleasant-smelling in every room of our house while I was growing up. Each season had its own scent: florals in spring, fruits in summer, apples and spices in fall, vanilla and mulberry in winter. Because I grew up in a household filled with candles, I carried on the tradition when I became an adult and moved into a house of my own. I burn candles every day, with no special occasion necessary. While other people I know spray air fresheners constantly for a quick scent fix, I burn candles for hours on end, letting the scent spread throughout my house. I usually have more than one candle burning at a time, in different rooms. My favorite kind to burn are jar candles, and I have many that have decorative "shades" that go over the top to create more ambience while they are burning. I take care to trim the wicks before burning to ensure maximum burn time and even melting of the wax within the jars.
